May 17,2011 - On a rainy Tuesday afternoon, trademark attorneys from all over the world gathered at the scenic Golden Gate Park in San Francisco California, for HUMBERTO RUBIO & CIA's 5K Run/Walk Reception. This challenging but beautiful course took athletes through a tree lined course with an overall elevation of over 100 ft. The participants were also witness to the nature of this park which included wild birds hovering the area as well as bison resting calmly in the pasture of this park. Runners were greeted at the finish line, with beer and plenty of refreshments to celebrate their accomplishment.

The race took off with four challengers in the lead group. These were Humberto Rubio (firm founder), Juan Berton Moreno, Lawrence Binderow and female runner Low Pei Lin. After the first mile, Rubio picked up the pace to finish 1st overall with a time of 21:45. However, three other participants would steal the show. In what seemed a rerun of last year's race, Juan and Lawrence were -once again- battling for a second and third place. However, they were joined by Mrs. Pei Lin who showed composure throughout the race and surged to a victory in the last hundred meters. She finished with a time of 22:45 to secure her overall victory on the women's side. The race brought attorneys from many countries, all sharing a common interest. We feel fortunate to have had such a great group of people with us and want to once again thank you all for joining us!
